Daysi finds deep satisfaction in contributing to improving the quality of life for pets and their families. It brings her joy to see animals get better and she's touched by their noble, grateful, and pure souls.
Daysi shares her home with two dogs and a cat:
- Puca is her mom's darling, an 18-year-old dog with whom Daysi has shared life's most important moments. Daysi adopted Puca in León, Nicaragua, and Puca even traveled from Nicaragua to the United States for their reunion.
- Norbu is a French poodle who was a special gift. He's always happy when Daysi comes home, loves children, and is super smart and loving.
- Benito is a very handsome and conceited short-haired gray cat who proudly bosses the dogs around the house.
When she's not at work, Daysi loves plants and collecting various cacti and succulents. Her go-to comfort food and favorite snack is mangoes with lemon, salt, and chili.
A fun fact about Daysi that might surprise most people is that she loves to swing, make desserts, fly kites, and is a big music enthusiast. What always makes her day better is seeing the different personalities of their patients and witnessing their gratitude; a kiss or a token of love from a dog or cat truly brightens her day.
Daysi loves spring for the vibrant colors of the flowers in her garden, and she loves autumn because the landscape looks amazing with its many colors.
She also shares that she has a 6-year-old daughter named Daniela, who is her joy and motivation, and that being a mom is the best thing that's ever happened to her.
