Alexis's favorite part of working with animals is meeting all the diverse creatures and witnessing their unique personalities. She also finds immense satisfaction in providing each of them with quality care every single day.
At home, Alexis shares her life with a lively crew of four cats and one dog:
- Kitty is very independent and enjoys her alone time.
- Klaus and Alpine are the same age and inseparable, truly "two peas in a pod."
- Alfie is the youngest and gets along best with Freyja.
- Freyja is a rescue husky who, most days, thinks she's more cat than dog and is full of sass!
When she's not at the hospital, Alexis loves reading, watching sports with friends, and traveling to Northern Virginia. Her go-to comfort "food" or favorite snack is a refreshing Diet Coke.
A fun and surprising fact about Alexis is that she used to be a dog person as a child, but after getting her first cat, she's been a devoted cat person ever since. She also listens to a lot of alternative music. What always makes her day better are a Diet Coke and her "emotional support technicians."
Alexis's favorite season is Fall. She loves the cozy atmosphere it brings and the beautiful changing leaves. The cooler weather also allows her to do more outdoor activities with Freyja without the heat.
