Ian joined Ghent Vet as a Veterinary Assistant in the Summer of 2023. Ian has previous experience working in feline exclusive practices and joined Ghent Vet upon relocating to Norfolk from the Atlanta area.

Camille S.

LVT

Camille started working in veterinary medicine in 2001. She graduated from the veterinary technician program at Blue Ridge Community College after joining Ghent Vet as employee #1.

Jess O.

LVT

Jess grew up in Indiana, which is a hotbed for veterinary talent at Ghent Vet. She worked through high school as a veterinary assistant before going to Purdue University for Veterinary Technology. Jess obtained her AS in Veterinary Technology in 2008 and BS in 2010.

Melody N.

LVT

Melody joined the Ghent Vet team as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in May 2022. She is also a course instructor for the veterinary technician program at Tidewater Community College and works as an urgent care technician.

Pattie S.

LVT

Pattie joined the Ghent Vet team in October 2019 as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She graduated from NVCC in 2005 with an AAS in Veterinary technology, and subsequently earned her BBA with a concentration in veterinary hospital management from SUNY in 2020.

Dr. Betsy Marshall

VMD, cVMA

Dr. Marshall was born and raised in Oil City, Pennsylvania and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Kelly Coplen

Dr. Coplen grew up in northwest Indiana and graduated from Indiana University with a BS in biology (Go Hoosiers!). After receiving her undergraduate degree, she initially worked as a veterinary assistant and then as a laboratory technician for a veterinary diagnostic lab.

Dr. Kim Fidler has been practicing small animal medicine in and around Coastal Virginia for the past 15 years, and joined Ghent Vet as an Associate Veterinarian in 2017.

Dr. Kelly Keymer

Dr. Keymer has been working semi-regular shifts for Ghent Vet since 2017. She originally commuted from the Seattle, WA area, but now resides more conveniently on Virginia’s Eastern Shore.
