Dr. Marshall was born and raised in Oil City, Pennsylvania and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation, Betsy relocated to Coastal Virginia and has since practiced small animal medicine – both emergency and private practice – for the past 10+ years.
Her professional interests include emergency medicine and critical care, dentistry, surgery, and pain management. She opened Ghent Veterinary Hospital in 2015 as a brand new practice in Norfolk and is looking forward to opening Granby Veterinary Hospital in late 2023/early 2024. Dr. Marshall is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (cVMA) via Curacore. She enjoys running and triathlons as well as sewing and gardening in her free time. She shares her home with her husband, Alex, 2 dogs (Bean and Poppy) and 2 cats (Benny and Bizzie).
